How many apps do you use in your job, activity ?

Do you know, and have you ever thought about, how many applications and tools you use in your daily activity, in your job?

 

With smartphones, tablets, the cloud, start-ups, Fintech, RegTec and manufacturer's, supplier's and editor's catalogs (apps market-places) one thing is certain: the offer is plethoric and you use a lot.

 

 

Think only about address book, phone and social network contacts, e-mail, mail, mailing, e-mailing....

Then add calendar, agenda, planning, tasks, to do list...

Add communication, relationship tools...

Add groupware tools...

Add office applications...

Add business applications...

Add HR application if you are an employee or a manager...

Add document and file management applications...

Add reporting, dashboard tools... 

Add project management applications and tools...

Add support, helpdesk, assets applications...

Add knowledge, audit, quality, ....

and so many things...

 

 

Isn't that crazy?

 

  • You have to choose (or accept), to adapt, abandon and replace each application, each tool,

 

  • You have to feed, keep up to date, copy, synchronize, save, archive, protect, delete data,

 

  • On a daily basis, you have to use, consult, duplicate, in short, juggle with all this stuff.

 

 

All these items are naturally provided by different actors who are each specialized, design, structure, define, evolve, support or not in their own way, and of course they seek to attract customers and privilege their interests.

 

 

And a major problem remains: you can't link everything to everything


For example a phone contact on a mobile cannot be linked with a document/file managed respectively by a document management application, HR management, project management, quality plan management, a file manager and you cannot link one or more contacts with the documents / files directly, nor use these items with all the communication tools, collaborative tools, process automation tools without manipulating, duplicating, transferring, uploading or downloading them between devices and applications, databases, when possible...
 

 

So who has never complained about this situation?
